Biography

Bojan Đurin was born on 30 July 1981 in Varaždin, Croatia, where he finished primary and secondary school. In the academic year 2000/2001 he enrolled into the Faculty of Geotechnical Engineering in Varaždin, University of Zagreb, where he graduated on 26 November 2007 and received his professional title Master of Geoengineering, hydrotechnics direction. From 1 June 2008 he was employed as a junior researcher at the Department of Hydrotechnics on the Faculty of Geotechnical Engineering, University of Zagreb. From 1 October 2014 he is employed as a senior researcher on same institution.
In the academic year 2008/2009 he enrolled the Postgraduate Doctoral program at the Faculty of Civil Engineering, Architecture and Geodesy, University of Split, which he finished by defending a doctoral thesis on year 2014 and gaining the academic title of Doctor of Science (PhD). He became an Assistant Professor in February of 2016. In his career as an author and co-author, he published more than 60 scientific and professional papers in journals and conference proceedings in his country and (mostly) abroad.
