Biography

Luís Barreto received the B.A. degree in Electrotechnical and Telecommunications Engineering from the Oporto University, Portugal, and the Master degree in networking systems and security by the same University. He is a Ph.D. in Electronical Engineering from the Aveiro University, Portugal. He is currently a Professor, Subdirector of the direction board of Business Science Superior School, Polytechnic University of Viana do Castelo (Escola Superior de Ciências Empresariais- Instituto Politécnico de Viana do Castelo).
He has experience in managgin different R&D projects, namely: Alto Minho. SMOB (sustainable mobility) NetStart (http://www.netstart.pt), CSI- Cooperation Servicing Innovation and SeeLe (Seeking Learning Evaluation- http://seele.ipvc.pt).

Research Interest

The following subjects are Luís Barreto main interests: Industry 4.0, IoT, Networking Protocols, Wireless Security, Ad-hoc and Wireless Networks, E-l earning, Sustainable mobility, Informal and Formal Learning.
